Cypress Lending Group, Ltd. (“Cypress”) is an alternative private lending source when responsive, flexible and reliable lending is critical to the borrower.

Cypress is a Florida-and Texas-based private lending company that specializes in providing debt financing to borrowers that have filed for protection in Chapter 11 of the federal bankruptcy court.  This financing is commonly referred to as “DIP Financing” or debtor-in-possession financing. 

Other Cypress financing vehicles include participating real estate lending, sale with re-purchase option, mezzanine or equity financing, and bond financing restructures. 

Cypress strives to be creative and flexible in its financing alternatives to meet the borrowers’ needs.

Cypress was established in 1999 in Naples, Florida, as Naples Lending Group, and is funded by its partner/affiliate EFO Holdings, L.P. (“EFO”), a Texas-based investment company managing capital in excess of $250 million.

The managing director/principal of EFO is Mr. William P. Esping who is also a managing partner of Cypress.  The operating partner and president of Cypress is Mr. Robert Grammen. Mr. Grammen was formerly the managing partner of Naples Lending Group, LLC, a successful DIP lending entity that was also funded by EFO Holdings.

Since its inception, Cypress has funded in excess of $30 million in financings, through ten transactions, primarily in DIP loans, collateralized conventional loans and sale/repurchase options.
